220 midwives, trained at Hamlin College of Midwives, have received their new work clothes.

Now they no longer have to work in their private clothes.

Midwives in rural areas work every day in environments that many of us would never imagine. Often, births take place in rooms without electricity or water. Yet the midwives are there every day to save lives. They stand by the mothers' side during the most vulnerable and crucial moment in life – childbirth – but often lack something as basic as a good working environment themselves.

The clothes are now ready and delivered. They have been sewn by a local tailor.
